We have 2 main activities in Rotary:
1. Club Meetings
2. Club Service Projects
I. CLUB MEETINGS
There are basically 4 different kinds of Club Meetings in Rotary:
- Regular Weekly Meeting
- Club Assembly
- Board Meeting
- Fellowship
II. CLUB SERVICE PROJECTS
Almost all club service projects are planned before the beginning of Rotary year and there can be any kind of the following areas:
- Polio Eradication Campaign
- Peace and Conflict Resolution
- Disease Treatment and Prevention
- Water and Sanitation
- Mother and Child Health Care
- Basic Education & Literacy
- Economics and Community Development
Minimum Standards for Clubs
In accordance with the RI Bylaws, the RI Board is responsible for ensuring that all clubs of the association are functioning and defines a functioning club as one that:
1) Having paid its per capita dues to RI
2) Meeting regularly consistent with RI constitutional documents
3) Ensuring that its members subscribe to a certified Rotary World Magazine
4) Implements service projects that address the needs in the local community and/or in communities in other countries
5) Receives the visit of the governor, assistant governor, or an officer of RI
6) Maintaining appropriate liability insurance as provided in Rotary Code of Policies section 72.050.
7) Acting in a manner consistent with the RI Constitution, RI Bylaws, and Rotary Code of Policies
8) Paying its RI membership and district dues without outside assistance
9) Providing accurate membership lists on a timely basis to the general secretary. At a minimum, clubs must report their membership changes to the general secretary so they are received by 1 July and 1 January.
10) Resolving club disputes in an amicable manner
11) Maintaining cooperative relations with the district
12) Cooperating with RI by not initiating or maintaining, and by not including in its membership an individual who initiates or maintains, litigation against Rotary International, The Rotary Foundation, employees, the associate foundations and the international offices of the RI Secretariat, prior to it or any of its members exhausting remedies required in RI's constitutional documents
13) Following and completing the election review process established in the RI bylaws
